Meet Dr. Allen

Dr. Allen (manager and veterinarian of Open Road Veterinary Care PLLC) earned both her Bachelor's degree and Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Missouri. Her decision to pursue veterinary medicine was rooted in a deep commitment to serving animals unable to advocate for their own well-being, with particular attention to expanding access to quality pet care within rural, disabled, and minority communities, where affordable and reliable veterinary services are not always readily available. This mission continues to guide her practice today, shaping both the care she provides and the communities she seeks to serve.

Dr. Allen is dedicated to meeting each client and patient according to their unique circumstances. She places strong emphasis on client education, believing that informed pet owners are better equipped to make sound decisions for their animals' long-term health, well-being, and emergent situations if one were to arise. Outside of her professional life, Dr. Allen maintains an active lifestyle through fitness, gardening, traveling, crocheting, and serving her country.
